From the Executive Director - October 2022The Power of Regret At this year’s annual Workshop & Retreat, Many Voices-One Community, we once again hosted a morning book club to kick off our second day. From the outside, reading seems a passive activity – but in reality it is vibrant, alive, and one of the most important ways to reflect, learn, and grow. This year we discussed Daniel Pink’s The Power of Regret: How Looking Backward Moves Us Forward. Differing points of view were brought to the table, from those who felt you can only regret what you do to those who felt you can only regret what you don’t do. Whatever camp you fall into, one thing was made clear: we can brush off our regrets and learn nothing, or we can embrace them and advance. There is one other option…avoid those regrets altogether, and GCA members are dodging regret left and right by planning ahead for next year! If you haven’t already, be sure to sign up so you don’t regret missing out on the valuable opportunities on the horizon:
Regards (without regrets),
